Szakmai követelmény:

Qualifications for practitioner/physician in Afghanistan:

1. Able to pass security check. No arrest record

2. Trained in primary care, ie: family practice; internal

medicine; general medicine

3. Able to handle urgent care, such as:

Minor suturing

Splinting

Reading X-rays

Incision and drainage of abscess

Removal of foreign bodies: eyes, ears, skin and sub-cutaneous

Interpret lab results

Start IVs

Give injections and/or IV. meds

Read ECGs

Audiometry

4. Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS, ALS)

Tájékoztató

Our patients are civilian employees of the NATO contractors at the protected military bases.

The professional staffing of our clinics will include physicians, PAs, independent duty/remote paramedics on the medical side and a dentist on the dental side. We have extensive experience with managing clinics and EMS agencies. Our Medical Directors are in the U.S. and are board certified in emergency medicine, internal medicine and occupational medicine. We pride ourselves on high quality/efficient/personal care.

We have a primary care/occupational medicine/dental clinic at Kandahar Air Field in Afghanistan. We are in the process of opening another clinic at Bastion and our goal is to open additional clinics within the following few months.

We have laboratory services, including CBC, 20 simple chemistries, urinalysis, drug screening, HIV testing, etc. We provide immunization services and full digital X-ray available.

We are equipped with an up-to-date dental facility and will provide dental services including treatment of dental caries, fillings, temporary crowns, treatment of gingival disease, cleanings, etc. We also provide Medevac services with our joint venture partner Skylink. We can identify and treat obvious conditions, but for advanced diagnostics and treatments, or opinions of specialists, we transport the patient by plane (Medevac) to Dubai. On the Dental side, we will come close to matching the "back-home" level of service. The Medical side of our Kandahar clinic is staffed and is operating. Our current need is for a dentist to begin operating our Dental facility.Our clinic locations are in fully protected areas: air fields and military bases with secured perimeters and strong presence of military, whose medical service is provided by the on-site military hospital.

Regarding working and salary arrangements:

" The physician would work two 5 month periods a year with a one month back home time twice a year. We pay for transportation to and from his home

" Note - if preferred, the physician can work one half of a full schedule and return the following year.

" Compensation would be $60,000/year paid monthly. We also provide lodging and meals.
